We are a progressive small animal hospital located in Chesapeake, Virginia. Our goal: To provide high quality, compassionate veterinary care, that is valued by our clients. Our Philosophy: By educating and partnering with our clients, we empower them to seek out and provide their pets the care they need for a happy, healthy life. Our brand new facility is very well equipped with the tools needed to practice high quality veterinary medicine. We are fully computerized with electronic medical records. Our equipment includes dental DR, flat panel DR, ultrasound, supera anesthesia machine, active scavenging system, oxygen cage, safe effective patient warming system, quality in house laboratory, avia tonopen, IV pumps, cardell vitals monitor with CO2, EKG, NIBP, SpO2, and doppler unit.

Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Assistant

Located in the heart of beautiful Chesapeake, VA, we are just minutes from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, which offers many indoor and outdoor activities for the whole family. Looking for more a vacation? Travel just an hour or so to the Outer Banks,NC for a weekend off exploring the many shops, restaurants and beaches it has to offer!

Our new facility is well equipped with the tools needed to practice high quality veterinary medicine. We are fully computerized with electronic medical records. Our equipment includes dental DR, flat panel DR, ultrasound, supera anesthetic machine, active scavenging system, oxygen cage, safe effective patient warming system, quality in house laboratory (blood and urinalysis) machines, avia tonopen, IV pumps, cardell vitals monitor with CO2, EKG, NIBP, SpO2, and doppler unit.

Preferred veterinary experience:

  • Assisting doctors with surgery procedures and exam rooms.
  • Understanding of vaccines protocols.
  • Monitoring anesthesia.
  • Completing laboratory procedures.
  • 1-2 years of veterinary experience preferred.

In addition to our preferred experience, the right individual will:

  • Complete a Fear Free Certification Course upon employment.
  • Understand and utilize low-stress handling and Fear Free techniques.
  • Have an outgoing, positive attitude.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and staff.
  • Have excellent work ethic.
  • Be attentive to detail.
  • Have the ability to multi-task- while keeping on task & ensuring the flow of clients/pets continues in an organized manner.
  • Be comfortable around animals.
  • Have strong ability to learn and utilize computerized practice management software.

As a fear free practice, the right individual will also understand the importance of low-stress handling and be able to educate clients on techniques and products to help reduce their pet’s stress.
